  1. Marie Smith Says:

This has been my heartsong for the last year. God has impressed upon me the value of community and living in relationship to each other. I do believe that city living makes this much more difficult. My mom recently moved from a tiny Ark. town to Las Vegas. She is miserable, for exactly the reasons in this clip. Charis Stockwell and I have been praying/working/speaking about this issue for awhile. We are finding young moms that live in absolute isolation, with no mentoring, no older Christian woman to talk to… Truthfully, I’d like to retire from teaching, just to pursue some ideas I have along these lines. Satan seems to keep our finances bound up, however. Hmm?

  2. Mark Says:

Often, if the Lord gives us a burden for a particular ministry he also opens a door for that ministry. Keep as you say “praying/working/speaking” about the issue. It is a difficult issue that often, and I say this based on personal experience, pastors are blind to. Their lives are so full of relationship that it’s hard to imagine that others have the opposite problem. We’ll pray with you that the Lord will open doors so that you might facilitate this important ministry.
