I fairly frequently mention the need to preach the gospel to ourselves. Here Erik Raymond talks a little more about what this means. “The issue is our satisfied delight.”

This piece from Slate exposes the challenge pro-choicers face when they “reduce” the number of babies in their wombs. We can pray that the Lord opens eyes so that the day will come when the lives of the unborn in our country will be safe. “Reduction destroys this distinction. It combines, in a single pregnancy, a wanted and an unwanted fetus. In the case of identical twins, even their genomes are indistinguishable. You can’t pretend that one is precious and the other is just tissue. You’re killing the same creature to which you’re dedicating your life.”

Kevin DeYoung reminds us of some of the reasons we find ourselves in a pew on Sundays.

Finally, David Kjos weighs in on Mark Driscoll. Personally, the issue is extra-biblical revelation. Once that door is cracked, all manner of weirdness ensues. There is no upside given the Word will equip us for every good work (2Tim 3:16-17).
